Hey guys! Sorry we haven't posted. I've had to take a mega break from my full on hair journey because of school. I just don't have time in the morning to do my hair prior to my GHE. I'll probably continue it starting January due to a new year. I still use my healthy hair regimen and straighten my hair twice a month though. Sorry again for the 1 month late post.

Progress
So I recently relaxed my new growth this weekend and I'm very happy with the results. I used Just For Kids (super) for only $5.29 at Walgreens and on my visit I also purchased Organics EVOO Maximum Growth Lotion - $3.99; Organics Hair Mayonnaise - $2.99. (I'd heard very good reviews about the EVOO moisturizing lotion and i had already used the Hair Mayonnaise . They are both filled with lots of protein, oils, and nutrients for your hair). Anyways, I decided to post a before and after picture of my new growth in cornrow twist outs and after my relaxer.
P.S: After I relaxed my hair, I deep conditioned it with APHogee Shampoo and Dr.Miracles Mint conditioner, put it in rollers, and went under the dryer for 20 mins. Afterwards, I straightened it with very little heat. Comment with any questions.

Protective Style: Cornrows into curly/messy bun.
My cornrows in this picture, done by mom, took about 45 minutes to do, and I love how she did it going in three directions (the back goes upwards). My bun is curly because the night before I braided the hair that wasn't in a cornrow, and before doing this hairstyle, I took the braid out, and some of the cornrow. To do the bun, first put your hair into a high ponytail, then spread out the hair all around evenly, then push/tuck the ends of your hair upwards toward the elastic in your hair. After that, you put another elastic to secure the ends in your bun. Fix any fly aways with either bobby pins, or spray gel.

Deep Conditioners (DC's)
So I just went out and bought 2 deep conditioners at my local beauty supply store. I purchased the Creme of Nature Argan Oil Intensive Conditioning Treatment, and I also bought the Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Replenishing Deep Penetrating Conditioner. Now, I haven't seen any reviews on any of these products, but my mom does use these, and she always gets pretty good results. I went on the ORS website, and went to this product and they have said that the main key ingredients in the ORS Conditioner is Olive Oil which is rich in essential fatty acids, and infuses moisture directly into the cuticle, and the other key ingredient, Sweet Orange Oil, helps to soothe and condition the scalp. I have also went on the CON website and went to this product, and it says the benefits of this conditioner is that it strengthens and prevents hair breakage, it deeply infuses moisture, it leaves hair soft, silky, and full of body, and that it is infused with Argan Oil from Morocco. The conditioner that I will use first is the CON one. I'll come back after I have used it and let everyone know how my hair feels! Thanks for reading. (:

GHE
I've researched a lot about hair growth and seemed to notice a couple of things that stood out. When your hair is simulating, it does a lot of growth. I recently found a new way to encourage my hair to break out of it's scalp and shine (; The Greenhouse Effect! Yes it might take a lot of motivation to do this every other night, but regardless, i'm up for the challenge! Using EVOO, i massage my hair (damp or dry) in little sections making sure i get my edges, tips, and back. Wrapping my hair or leaving it messy, i therefore proceed onto putting a shower cap, bandana, and hair bonnet over to really make sure the heat is trapped in for maximum humidity. The GHE has really helped me see a change in my hair growth in the past two week! Try is out (:
Here's a picture of my hair bonnet.

African Pride Olive Miracle
I purchased this Olive Oil at Sally's about a month ago. The main reason for this purchasing was so that I would be able to have Olive Oil to do the GHE with. You're originally supposed to use EVOO or JBCO for the GHE, but I have found that this works just as well. This Olive Oil stops breakage, split ends, and dryness, and its a maximum strengthening growth oil (bonus points haha!). And so far, this oil has really been true to what it's supposed to do. My normal hair growth rate is about 1/4 of an inch a month. With this oil after doing the GHE about 5 or 4 times a week for a whole month, I saw about 1/2 an inch, or a tad bit more, of growth. As you can see, I love this oil a lot and it truly makes my hair feel softer, look healthier, and I defiantly don't see as much breakage as I used to before starting this and the GHE. This oil is a definite thumbs up.
Some ingredients: Soybean oil, Olive fruit oil, Coconut oil, Jojoba oil, Grape seed oil, Avocado oil containing vitamins B2, D, A, E, K, and Potassium, Flax seed oil, Wheat protein, and Hydrolysed Oat and Vegetable protein.

Jamaican Black Castor Oil
So i've read a lot of reviews and seen a million videos on the Jamaican Black Castor Oil (JBCO) and have heard good things AND bad things. Most people said it helps hair growth and thickens hair but it also itches the scalp and smells horrible. Now i mostly trust my opinion. It's true that it smells horrible and that it's really thick, but it didn't itch my scalp. AT ALL. I recommend it. For a 4oz bottle i spent $6.99 but it goes a long way and i will continue to use it for my hair journey.
